                   AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING AN ALLEY
                   LOCATED SOUTHEAST FROM HOLTZCLAW AVENUE,
                   BETWEEN ALICE STREET AND ACKERMAN STREET MORE
                   PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby 
closed
         and abandoned an alley located southeast from Holtzclaw Avenue, 

         between Alice Street and Ackerman Street, more particularly
         described herein, and as shown on plat attached hereto and made 
a
         part hereof by reference:
                A 10 foot wide alleyway beginning on the southeast
                line of Holtzclaw Avenue 389.76 feet northeast of
                the intersection of the southeast line of Holtzclaw
                Avenue with the northeast line of Cleveland Avenue,
                and extending southeast 152.29 feet between
                parallel lines to the northwest line of lot 5 (if
                extended southwestwardly), block 3, Preston and
                Prigmore's Addition, as shown by plat of record in
                plat book 6, page 8, R.O.H.C.  Said alleyway
                separates lot 101-13 and part of lot 16 revised,
                Resubdivision of Chattanooga Housing Authority
                Parcel No. 101-13, as shown by plat of record in
                plat book 44, page 183, R.O.H.C., from lot 101-5,
                Resubdivision of a Part of Lots 12-15 and Lot 16,
                Block 2, and Part of Lots 6-9, Block 3, Preston and
                Prigmore's Addition, as shown by plat of record in
                plat book 47, page 290, R.O.H.C.  Tax Map No.
                146-B-H-4 and 23.
               
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage as 
provided
         by law.
